Man plans, God laughs

I did it! I finished my training as a nurse anesthetist! I passed my board exam, got hired at my first choice anesthesia group, and now work alongside brilliant and kind colleagues every day, putting people to sleep for surgeries. And my days off are spent hanging out with my husband and our two cats, or doing my main hobby: indoor rock climbing.

Well, as the saying goes, “man plans, God laughs.” And God must have thought my plans were going a little too smoothly, because I fell weirdly during climbing, and ended up completely tearing my ACL. Just goes to show you how good I am at rock climbing lol.

Anyway, between preparing for surgery and going through rehabilitation, I’ve read many blogs and Reddit posts about others’ experiences. It’s been so helpful, I thought I’d give back by sharing mine. More to come.
