Anesthesia gifts & scrub hats

One of my most popular blog posts is my gift ideas for CRNAs, anesthesiologists, anesthesia residents etc. It was an updated version of my most useful supplies as an SRNA.

One of the items I recommended, and still do, is the scrub hat. This was the first gift I received when I got the news I was admitted to CRNA school. You see, the humble scrub hat is simple, but it symbolizes entering the world of the operating room. It doesn't matter if you're a surgeon, an anesthesiologist, a nurse, or a visitor -- everyone in the OR gets "a party hat."

Ask around, and you'll soon realize that people are REALLY passionate about their scrub hat lol. Whether it represents their alma mater, favorite sports team...but most of all, their specialty. Anesthesia, vascular, OR nursing, etc. … People are proud of their specialty! I love that sense of camaraderie and community!
